GloodtWorks: Artwork by Elaine M. Gloodt

Party People of Carmel Gallery

Life is a party to be lived to its fullest. No where did Elaine experience the fun of life quite like that of Carmel. A part of her will always remain in Carmel. She loved observing people and then capturing the atmosphere of the trend setters in her cartoon series "Party People of Carmel". With minimal strokes of a brush, Elaine could easily capture the feelings in a group of people. More than any of her other artwork, these party gathering groupings were where her vivid imagination and incredible artistic talent melded together. She drew from deep inside to capture the stereotypes of the different groups. Hanging in an office or stairwell, these Party People are sure to have onlookers remembering parties of their own or looking for the "Aunt Maudes" and "Uncle Charlies" in their lives. Elaine was a supreme people watcher!
