One cannot possibly live in the Carmel area of California and not be drawn to the motion and color of the sea. In Elaine’s seascapes, you get a sense of how wild and ever changing water of the Pacific. Her time spent in Florida produced swamp scenes, sunsets, wildlife and other gentler seaside activities. Elaine Gloodt mastered painting the light in the waves and the action that surrounds waves beautifully.
